Instructions for Papers accepted to LNCS Proceedings
LNCS/LNAI/LNBI is published, in parallel to the printed books, in full-text electronic form via the internet platform
www.springerlink.com. Springer therefore needs all the electronic files,
most importantly the source files, of all
parts of the manuscript (including front matter pages) as advised in the instructions. Springer also requires a final
pdf of each paper created and checked by the authors.
Deadline and Page Limit
The dealine for the camera ready version is the 1st of July, whereas the page limit is 11 pages using
strictly
the Springer-Verlag LNCS
style files. The authors are encouraged to submit their work in Latex2e. Please note that at
least one of each accepted paper authors must be registered so that the paper is included in the proceedings.
Submitting Your Manuscript to the PCI 2005
Please submit the following:
(a) Single-sided printout of the final (camera-ready) version of your contribution.
(b) Completed copyright form.
(c) Source (input) files (to the Paper Submission Site):
(i) LaTeX2e files for the text and PS or EPS files for figures.
(ii) Final DVI file (for papers prepared using LaTeX/TeX).
(iii) Final PS file (please avoid using the option "reverse order").
(iv) Final PDF file (if possible).
(v) RTF files (for word-processing systems other than LaTeX/TeX).
The texts in all files must be identical, and they must match the contribution printout.
Springer has recently introduced an extra control loop, subsequent to data conversion: once data processing has been
finished, Springer shall contact the corresponding authors and ask them to check their papers. Hence, we will need
from you, to indicate the corresponding author's email address which Springer will use for contacting the author
for
checking purposes.

Using LaTeX2e
We want to add hyperlinks to your manuscript in the online version, so we recommend the use of LaTeX2e for the
preparation of your camera-ready manuscript, together with the corresponding Springer class file - llncs2e.zip
contains:
(i) llncs.cls, Springer class file;
(ii) llncs.dem, sample input file, you can use it as a source for your own input;
(iii) llncs.doc (actually a TeX file), the documentation of the class, with detailed
instructions on how the macro package works;
(iv) llncs.dvi, DVI resulting out of llncs.doc.
Please download llncs2e.zip.
Using LaTeX
If you are not able to use LaTeX2e you may use Springer's old macro package for LaTeX.
Please download llncs.zip.
Using Microsoft Word
Springer does not encourage the use of Microsoft Word , particularly as the layout of the pages (the position
of figures and paragraphs) can change between printouts. However, we do provide the relevant templates and sample
files for PC (sv-lncs.dot) and Mac (sv-lncs) environments. Please read the explanatory sv-lncs.pdf carefully.
Please download word.zip
